Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley, delivered a keynote presentation on the science that's shaping our future to the Institute of Public Administration Australia in Canberra on Wednesday 12 September.

On Tuesday 4 October 2022, Dr Foley was honoured to receive an honourary Doctor of Laws at the Monash University Faculty of Science graduation ceremony.

Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley, was part of a global discussion on Science and Technology as a driver for development during the Science and Technology in Society Forum 2022 in Kyoto, Japan on Sunday 2 October.

Dr Foley delivered the 2022 Stanhope Oration titled "Teaching for the Future" as an online address to the CONASTA conference on Tuesday 27 September 2022.

On 13 September 2022, Dr Cathy Foley delivered a keynote speech at the Regional Australia's Institute's 2022 national summit. Dr Foley highlights the opportunities that Australia's ambition in emerging technologies and high-tech manufacturing offer to regional areas, including new skilled job opportunities.

Dr Foley gave a keynote address titled "Finding Australia's Edge" to the International Minerals Processing Council Asia Pacific Symposium in Melbourne on 24 August 2022.

On 15 June 2022, Dr Cathy Foley delivered The Melbourne Rotary Club's Thomas Baker Oration. In her speech, Dr Foley reflects on the challenges of a rapidly changing landscape and the need to be ambitious and harness the opportunities before us.

On 17 March 2022, Dr Cathy Foley delivered The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering NSW Division's Chaikin Oration. In her speech, Dr Foley reflects on her work in the role so far, and the opportunities ahead.

On 23 February 2022, Dr Cathy Foley delivered the keynote presentation as part Sydney Quantum's Quantum Australia Conference. In her presentation, Dr Foley discusses the next phase of building a quantum strategy for Australia, and the importance of having all of Australia’s quantum voices represented.
