A new report highlights the importance of integrating social science perspectives into efforts to tackle the world’s biggest challenges. 

Prof Tony Haymet spoke to the authors of the report at a social sciences workshop in Melbourne in April.   

He said social sciences are crucial because many of the major barriers to change involve questions of social license, public trust and collective action.
