On Wednesday 8 July, Prof Tony Haymet joined the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Hon Sam Mostyn AC, for the launch of First Knowledges: The Collection, at Government House.
The collection explores Indigenous knowledge systems in areas such as health, innovation and law, and considers how these knowledges apply today.
The 10-book set was curated by Margo Ngawa Neale, former senior Indigenous curator at the National Museum of Australia, and each book is a collaboration among Indigenous and non-Indigenous writers and editors.
