Australia's Chief Scientist, Professor Tony Haymet, and the Office of the Chief Scientist are saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Emma Johnston AO.

Professor Johnston commenced as the 21st Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne in February 2025, following a distinguished and influential career.
