Australia's Chief Scientist

3 December 2013

Chief Scientist Professor Ian Chubb today launched the free e Book The Curious Country.

“Earlier this year my office commissioned a survey asking people what issues they wanted science to address, what if anything concerned them and what inspired them,” Professor Chubb said.

The results of the survey framed the narrative for the eBook – The Curious Country – a series of essays edited by Leigh Dayton and available for anyone to download from ANU E Press.

“Science shapes our lives in so many ways – the technology we use, the food we eat, the medicine we take. But do we think about it? This book seeks to tell some of these stories in an engaging way that we hope people will enjoy reading,” Professor Chubb said.
